SPP AGM and talk on Philosophy in Schools

Talk  and Annual General Meeting 2007

Dear Colleague and SPP Member,

Please find below details of this year's AGM. This year the AGM will be preceded by a talk from Peter Worley on "Philosophy in Schools" at 630pm. Peter studied philosophy at University College London and Birbeck College, London. He  is a philosophical practitioner who for the last four years has been developing his own  approach to teaching philosophy to London primary school children.

There are a number of committee posts becoming available this year

  • Events organiser / Events publicist
  • Website administrator

Please do not be shy or modest about your talents in these areas –  in a small organisation such as the SPP all help is genuinely appreciated and helps keep the society moving in the right direction. . If you would like to find out more about these posts or are interested in applying please e-mail Tim LeBon at spp@timlebon.com:

We are also looking to hire  a competent web designer to redesign the SPP web site, preferably using a content management system such as Joomla. If you are such a person, or know of one, please contact me at the above e-mail.

We very much welcome and encourage members to  bring ideas and suggestions for events and the development of the SPP.

Please let us know whether you intend to come to the talk and/or AGM

(e-mail : spp@timlebon.com)

Hoping to se you there on the 14th December
